Are you listening?

Eyes tore into you

Like moonlight through the darkest sky

Words speaking to you

Leaving nothing but lies.

He packs

Saying he will come back

You nod

Counting times he said that.

He smiles

Fake light in his eyes

You try not to cry,

 only in the inside.

He’s gone

And never coming back

You know it

But you still can’t believe that.

”It can’t be”

You think desperately

”That something so beautiful

Can end this quickly.”

So you pray

And wait for him for a while

Thinking about the days

You hoped he would stay all the night.

But you know

He never did and never will

”It’s for you” he sais

”You would never want to be with me”.

”Yes, oh yes I would”

You want to scream

 But words die on your lips

Afraid of breaking the dream.

So you smile

And let him go to fly

Let him out of your reach

Let him out of your heart.

And as the plane takes off

You still lay on your own

Dreaming about the arms

That once held you so close.
